Ark Royal leaves Portsmouth

The Ark Royal left Portsmouth on her way to “exercises” in the Persian Gulf. I took the photos from Spice Island, which has seen a fair few warships depart over the years. There were probably a couple of thousand people there including relatives of people on board, protesters and a few flag-wavers.
